Instructions for Windows XP

Specify installed OS bit. Open "Start - Settings - Control Panel", select the "System" menu item. If you do not see such an item, then switch to the classic panel view. If you do not see anything like "64bit edition” in the opened window on the "General" tab, then you have a 32-bit system.

Download OpenVPN client from the official site for your operating system and save to disk:

Open the directory with the saved file and run it. If Windows requires you to confirm the action - confirm it:

Click Next on installer welcome screen.

Click I Agree on the License Agreement screen. Usually nobody reads the agreement.

On the screen for program component selecting we set:

On the next screen the installer inquires the path to install the client. We recommend default value. Click "Install".

During the installation process, Windows will inform you that you are attempting to install the TAP-Windows device driver. Click “Continue anyway”:

On the next screen the installer reports about Installation Complete. Click Next.

On the last screen, the installer suggests clicking the Finish button and displaying Readme file. By this time, the shortcut OpenVPN has already been created on the desktop:

Launch OpenVPN. A new icon will appear in the tray.

Now go to the billing panel and download the configuration file, or create such a file and copy the content from the text field in the billing.

Save the configuration file to "C:\Program files\OpenVPN\config" directory. The file shall have the extension ".ovpn".

Now, if you right-click on the openvpn icon in the tray, you can see the menu with the item "Connect". Connect!

The connection process will start, opened window will contain debugging information, and the icon will change color to yellow. After the connection is successfully completed, the icon will turn green.
